The Story

In Insurgent by Veronica Roth we continue the story right where Divergent left off. In Insurgent the society Tris and her companions once known is in tremendous turmoil. The sensible society they knew is threatened to fall by the hands of one of their very own and Tris feels it is her responsibility to save the only home she knows. She has proven herself to be a great warrior for the cause and yet again continuously finds herself in the middle of it all by her own admission. Everything she thought she knew turns out to be a complete sham and she is determined to not only find out the truth behind her society but also to uncover the meaning of events that are happening around her. She knows she is Divergent, but now she finds herself to be Insurgent. She is not willing to allow her society to fall to the hands of the enemy and in this book we will find out if she succeeds in her seemingly never ending campaign to fight for the only life she knows.

My Thoughts

Honestly, I don’t think I have ever felt a love for a book like I have felt for both Divergent and Insurgent! As I read Divergent I knew that I was going to LOVE the series, and even after reading Insurgent I still feel that way. I can’t even decide which book I love more, that is how great they both are. There is so much in this book that you thought you knew from the first book only to find that you were completely wrong, and in many cases, so were the characters in the book. Who would have thought that a ghost from the past would pop up out of no where and surprise us all??? This an absolutely amazing read, and if you have not read it yet you are missing out!
